Back-Up Care Advantage is an umbrella of emergency care options for your employees’ dependants, when and where they need it. Options include in-home care for children of all ages and adult dependants, nursery care for children up to 5 years, and school-age care during school closures and holidays.

  • Once an employee has registered with the programme they need only make one call (or email) to request care.
  • Highly-trained Care Consultants, available 24/7, will source the most appropriate solutions, including ascertaining availability and suitability for the individual concerned.
  • Care is provided via a network of appropriately qualified and screened in-home care-giving professionals and carefully selected child care providers.
  • The Back-Up Care Advantage Programme is the only emergency care network to include Bright Horizons nurseries and playschemes, together with invited partnership providers who have passed our quality auditing measures.
Our experience to date shows that Back-up Care Advantage has been highly successful. One employer saved 1,314 employee days since the launch of their programme in 2006, and of the 1,700 service users surveyed since 2006, 98% rate Back-up Care Advantage among the best benefits their employer offers, while 83% say they would have missed work had the service not been available.
